High quality goose down bedding, including duvets and pillows, are known for being the best insulators available on the market.
Goose down is ultra light and very warm - meaning it can keep you cool in the hot summers and even nice and warm during the cold winters! This is due to down material being able to adapt to heat while ensuring moisture is constantly wicked away.
Duvets and pillows that cannot control heat or bad temperatures are often the reason for a bad night’s sleep, and often cause people to frequently wake up during the night. However, with goose down bedding, you can be reassured that you will never have poor sleep again as it offers great temperature control.
Without a doubt, people like goose down duvets and pillows because they provide a better quality of sleep. In both quality and quantity, the softness and warm nature of goose down pillows allows you to feel more comfortable in bed each night.
Hungarian goose down pillows and duvets have larger clusters than duck down, which means they have the ultimate (and unbeatable) characteristics of softness, warmth and support.
Goose down, furthermore, is a great option when it comes to luxury pillows. Goose down pillows allow you to find the right warmth and weight and can help you feel great and comfortable whilst you sleep.
Treat yourself to a goose down pillow or duvet to have a luxurious and wonderful night’s sleep!

Goose down is the preferred choice for many when it comes to their bedding because it is known to be durable and to last for much longer. Although expensive at first, buying goose down bedding is actually cost-effective as it lasts a very long time and does not need to be replaced as often as other types of bedding.
In addition, goose down duvets and pillows have an extremely high thread count which offers more durability, longevity and comfort compared to other types of bedding filling. Moreover, because goose down is not a feather filling, there are no feathers that can escape from the bedding. Meaning you will have higher quality bedding which is more comfortable long-term!
Generally, pillows and duvets may only last for 2 or 3 years whereas goose down bedding, if well cared for, can last 5 years or even more! Therefore, making goose down duvets and pillows a great option for your new bedding.
Another great thing about goose down duvets and pillows is that they are naturally anti-allergenic - making them ideal for those with bad allergies to have a sneeze-free sleep!
The properties of a goose down duvet or pillow, when maintained and cleaned properly, will mean that no dust or other unwanted materials that can cause allergies can sneak in. Making goose down bedding very different to other bedding, such as feather pillows, which often usually attract dust and can cause your allergies to flare up.
Teaming your goose down pillow and duvet with good quality bed linen, furthermore, can also help more to guard against moisture, dust mites and stains.
]]>In this article, we’ll provide some helpful tips on preparing your bed for winter, making it a haven of warmth and comfort for restful nights throughout the season.
The first step in creating your ideal warm bed is by layering it with natural bedding. Pure cotton sheets (and duvet cover and pillowcase, of course) are a superb choice thanks to their natural breathability to ensure a cosy and sweat-free sleep.
Pure cotton sateen is perhaps the better choice for colder nights thanks to its wonderfully supple softness and silky feel that’s heavier compared to percale weave. Alternatively, if you’re after a more casual appearance, pure linen (flax) bedding is also a fantastic choice thanks to its lightweight feel and natural breathability. Avoid synthetic materials, as they lack the natural breathability (and softness) necessary for maintaining a healthy sleep temperature.

An indispensable component in winter bed preparation, a mattress protector or topper can provide a layer of both added comfort and much needed warmth and airflow. The optimal material choice for these would be something natural - such wool or cotton - providing both mattress protection and an effective barrier of insulation and airflow against the cold.
The pinnacle of dreamy, cosy comfort: the duvet. Your duvet is the most vital part to consider when preparing your bed for winter, and there’s no filling quite like the all-natural goose down. Being lightweight, fluffy, and breathable (make sure you opt for one with pure cotton casing), it’s the dream fill that’s sure to make for nights’ of sweet dreams without the heavyweight of synthetic alternatives. Alternatively, consider a natural-fibre quilt such as a silk- or wool-filled duvet.
Finally, why not dress to impress? To top it all off, layer up your winter bed with a throw of knitted blanket. Not only is it cosy and inviting, but it’s flexible - drape it on your bed, prop it over your sofa, snuggly under it on your favourite armchair .. the choices are endless. Of course, it’s not just pretty but warm and cosy too.
One last point to highlight when dressing your bed during the winter months, is choosing the right colours. Opt for a range of warm tones that create the feeling of a cosy space that’s also able to counteract and complement the low temperatures outside. Colours such as earth, yellow or brown, will add to the inviting ambiance. As for the materials, flannel or wool should be your focus , as its combination with warm tones is ideal for a bedroom that feels like a cosy sanctuary.
Who doesn’t like getting into a warm and cosy bed on a cold night? It’s one of the most pleasant sensations of the long winter nights. Discover Cuddledown’s truly fine bed products, and avoid that cold chill in your bones — you’ll be nodding off into dreamland in no time!

If you find yourself asking, "What tog should I choose for winter?" you're not alone. In this comprehensive guide, we'll demystify tog ratings and help you make an informed decision for a snug and comfortable winter's sleep.
Tog ratings are a measure of a textile's thermal resistance or warmth. In simpler terms, they indicate how effective a duvet or comforter is at trapping heat. The higher the tog rating, the warmer the bedding. For colder seasons like winter, a higher tog rating is generally recommended.
In winter, keeping warm and comfortable during those chilly nights is crucial. Selecting the right tog rating ensures you stay cozy without overheating. It's all about striking the perfect balance between warmth and breathability.
Selecting the ideal tog rating for your winter bedding depends on several factors:
Consider the average room temperature where you sleep. If your bedroom tends to get colder during winter, you'll want a higher tog rating.
Your personal comfort level plays a significant role. Some people prefer extra warmth, while others like to stay cooler while sleeping.
If you experience drastic temperature fluctuations during winter, you might opt for layered bedding, allowing you to adjust as needed.
The material of your bedding matters too. Natural materials like down and feather duvets tend to have higher tog ratings for their exceptional insulation.
Tog ratings typically range from 1 (lightweight) to 15 (extra warm). Here's a breakdown of what each rating means:
At Cuddledown, we offer a range of winter bedding options to cater to various preferences and needs. Whether you're a fan of the lightweight duvets or prefer the extra warmth of a high tog rating, we've got you covered.

But if you're in the market for a down comforter or pillow and are seeking the warmest option, you've likely come across two contenders: Canadian Goose Down and Siberian Goose Down. In this guide, we'll compare these premium choices to help you determine which is warmer and better suited for your needs.
Canadian Goose Down is renowned for its ability to provide exceptional warmth, making it a popular choice for those enduring harsh winter climates. The extreme cold temperatures that Canadian geese face have resulted in down clusters with superior insulating properties.
The insulation properties of Canadian Goose Down are primarily attributed to its high fill power, which typically ranges from 600 to 900+. Fill power measures the loft and fluffiness of down, and higher numbers indicate better insulation. Canadian Goose Down's lofty clusters trap more air, creating a barrier of warmth that keeps you snug even in the chilliest of nights.
At Cuddledown UK, we take pride in sourcing our Canadian Goose Down responsibly, ensuring the highest quality while adhering to ethical and sustainable standards. Rest assured that you're investing in both warmth and ethical bedding.

Siberian Goose Down is renowned for its exceptional softness and lightweight feel. While it may not be as well-known for its cold-defying properties as Canadian Goose Down, it still offers impressive warmth.
Siberian Goose Down boasts a remarkable fill power, often ranging from 800 to 900+. This loftiness ensures that even though it feels light as a feather, it provides excellent insulation. It's like sleeping under a cloud of warmth and comfort.
Our Siberian Goose Down is ethically sourced, and we take great care to offer you bedding that's both luxurious and responsible.

So, when it comes to the ultimate warmth, which should you choose? It's a close match.
If you live in an area with frigid winters and you want the utmost warmth, Canadian Goose Down may be the better choice. Its superior fill power and insulation properties make it exceptionally cozy in cold climates.
On the other hand, if you prioritize softness and comfort without compromising on warmth, Siberian Goose Down offers a luxurious sleep experience. While it might not be the absolute warmest, it's still an excellent choice for keeping cozy on chilly nights.

'Your home is your castle' is a phrase my parents would always say and it really is just that. My parents, sister and I are all super house proud. Many holidays were sacrificed to ensure our home was perfect with a large garden for my sister and I to play in and somewhere to feel safe. It was the heart of everyday life. My husband and I want to ensure this outlook is carried on for our family life and home
Scents! It's all about the scents and mood lighting. Never ever have the big light on, always lamps and make sure that diffuser is on!
When decorating a room, I always gravitate to using only neutrals. They are a fantastic canvas to create a cosy and relaxing atmosphere. It also makes whatever room feel bright, open and spacious! These are the most important factors to me.
I live by the quote of 'less is more' and so I emulate this throughout my whole home. Neutrals, only one or two pieces of side board art and barely any prints or wall hangings. I like simplicity.
I usually unwind by cooking dinner in our new kitchen with a glass of something with my husband, baby girl and our pup! Later it's then a candle lit and sat in front of the fire.
Bedtime routine is a bath shared with my baby girl, all the face creams, glass of water and then cosy in our My Cuddledown bedding (might pop the TV on too in bed)!
At the end of the day, you want your home sanctuary to be a space you enjoy spending time in with your family. By adding some special touches to really make it personal, it’ll be much easier to feel like your home is truly yours.

What we take to bed in our stomachs will also have an effect on our sleep. Copious meals will make our body have to work through the night to digest the food.
On the other hand, going to bed hungry will not allow us to rest either. Therefore, a light but satisfying meal is the best way to help the body to carry out the metabolic decrease naturally.
Water is our greatest ally to prepare our body for rest. It cleanses and takes away the heaviness, eliminating toxins and recharging us with new energy, relaxing our muscles and relieving stress. A hot bath or shower at night is a great pleasure, it not only helps us fall asleep, but improves the quality of sleep.
You can take a shower at least an hour before you go to bed, so your body temperature doesn't get too high. A simple gesture that could make a difference.
The body needs to change its position, stretch and breathe the tensions accumulated during the day. Put on some comfy clothes and find a nice and spacious corner to stretch out your body.
If you stop to listen to your body and breathe, you’ll surely feel much better and relaxed.
An essential step. Say goodbye to mobile devices. Think about it, there is nothing important that you need to see on the phone before bed, surely it can wait for tomorrow while you have breakfast.
Use those minutes to chat with your partner, children or pamper your pet. You can also dedicate that moment to reading, which will help you purify your thoughts and forget what is on your mind.
Snuggle up in cosy beddingGreat bedding doesn’t just dress up your bedroom—it also keeps you comfortable and helps you sleep better at night. When you choose the best type of bedding and pillows for your body and sleep style, you can expect deeper relaxation and quality sleep.
At Cuddledown we believe in better sleep, we've therefore carefully crafted the finest duvets, pillows and bedding. You'll be nodding off into dreamland in no time!
]]>The Feng Shui technique has been imposing a series of criteria for years to help good vibrations flow through your space, which can be very useful in your bedroom, to help improve your sleep, your mood and your entire day to day life. Here are seven keys to bring in Feng Shui into your bedroom.
First and most important, the headboard. Our most powerful energy point resides in the head and for Feng Shui it is essential to protect it.
The headboard must rest on a firm base such as the wall. A bed in the middle of the room with a passageway behind it does not work, because psychologically it leaves us exposed by not having all the space in our field of vision once lying down.
A mirror, with its reflection, gives depth, like the sea or a lake. Quite the opposite of what we are looking for in the bedroom. We are looking for security, stability, support, something more related to the earth element.
Mirrors can also worsen the refraction of electromagnetic fields by the metallic material used for their construction. Feng Shui recommends avoiding them. But if you do include them in your bedroom, try not to reflect the bed.
According to Feng Shui, you should introduce natural elements in your bedroom. Plants, water sources, materials such as wood...
The most current trends in decoration propose bedrooms inspired by nature, not only with the aforementioned natural elements but also with green patterns of leaves, flowers, etc.
Electronic devices are considered pollutants in the bedroom, since they emit radiation that could disturb sleep. Therefore, avoid televisions, alarm clocks and computers or any other devices that require cables.
Lights, yes, of course, but try not to let the cables pass behind the headboard.
Do not decorate your bedroom by filling it with details, create an orderly environment free of objects that are not used, since these could cause stress or nervousness.
Objects are also capable of giving us or taking away energy, depending on the relationship we have with them. So pick a few that give you a good vibe.
One of the basic principles of Feng Shui is that we feel comfortable at home. To make sure you do so, it’s important to choose the right colour palette.
Go for warm tones. These enhance the feeling of comfort as well as adding elegance, harmony and dynamism to the room. In order to get the mixture of colours right, you must start with one main colour and another two in small doses to add power to the decoration.
A Feng Shui bedroom needs energy to flow naturally above and below you. Above you, the energy will rarely encounter obstacles, but below you it can if you sleep on a trundle bed or in an enclosed masonry structure. In this sense, leg beds are ideal.
Having a comfortable and pleasant space can help us rest and regain strength. It is, therefore, convenient that we value the idea of applying the Feng Shui technique.
]]>Home is more than just a roof over our heads and a place to keep our possessions. Home is where the heart is, and therefore should be a haven of safety, comfort, and place of joy throughout our lives. It’s also an extension of ourselves. What we do and see inside our home will affect our mood, our productivity, and our happiness.
Olivia, a home decorator, has shared with us how her home makes her feel and how she is enjoying the progress of creating her ideal home, a place to feel safe and comfortable.
I feel happy. I just love being at home and my home.
My bedroom and lounge make me feel the most at home. These are the only 2 rooms in the house which have personal pictures in and I don’t know why but these make me feel most at home being around pictures of my loved ones.
I spend a mixture of my time at home and out the house but home is very much my happy and safe place and I love being at home. In my time at home, I spend a lot of time online shopping, watching films and reading my favourite genre of book; crime/thriller.
I don’t feel I have created my ideal home yet, I still have a lot of decorating ideas for a majority of the rooms. I think I still have a little bit of a way to go until I have the ideal home but getting this takes time and I’m enjoying the progress of making our house a home.
I follow trends along but I add my own personal touch to make them work together.
The main bathroom, a bubble bath with a face mask, a book and a candle is my perfect way of unwinding after a long day. You just can’t beat it.
Abby is a mum of two, who loves to spend time with her family in her lovely home. She dedicates lots of her time to keeping her house tidy and clean, which gives her the feeling of calm and relaxation she needs after a busy day. However, she always makes time for a moment to herself to unwind and switch off at the end of the day.
My home makes me feel at peace, happy and content.
My favourite part of my House is my bedroom. It's calm and relaxing. Followed closely by my kitchen.
A day at home always starts with Coffee and making breakfast for my children. If it’s a chilled day we tend to just take it slow, catch up on some jobs in the house and a film together.
My typical daily routine starts with my alarm at 5.45, I start downstairs making my kids lunches for school, putting a wash load on and making sure my downstairs is tidy.
Once the children are awake the beds are made and my upstairs is cleaned. That sets me up nicely for the day. Then we go off to school and work and evenings are often filled with activities such as swimming/football.
I make sure every evening once my children are in bed I have ‘me time’, a bath or a catch up on my favourite program.
One of my bedtime essentials is to always spray my pillow with sleep mist a few minutes before getting into bed.
If you’re looking for ways to make your home feel more cosy and inviting, the first step is to keep it clean. Your physical space is an expression of the way you feel, so if you want to feel truly relaxed and at home, you should make an effort to keep your space worthy of snuggling in.
Which colours are going to pop your living room? What style will dominate the interiors of your home? If you’re looking for the answers and the latest interior design trends for 2022, you’ll find them here.
This Autumn 2022, comfort and sustainability are key.
Our home is our safe place, where we snuggle up at the end of a long day to unwind and relax. For this reason, neutral colours have become a timeless and versatile choice, since they help create calming spaces to retreat to in our busy modern world.
The trend colours of this autumn are: white, beige, stone grey or light wood tone. These colours can help us feel the comfort and security we are looking for in our own home. To add some life to the room, you can include pops of colours here and there such as, green, ocher and black which are very popular this autumn.
Another year round, minimalism is yet again a trend. Rooms where you can breathe serenity, with furniture with straight lines and smooth fronts.
However, a new concept within this decorative genre has appeared; the new warm minimalism, a formula that adapts to the new times and follows the trend of sustainability, with organic forms, natural materials and technological solutions to achieve homes adapted to the 21st century, in which comfort prevails.
If you are going to renew your furniture or decoration accessories this 2022, bet on natural fibres and materials. Not only are they beautiful but they are also environmentally friendly.
These types of materials are already essential in our lives, and are highly demanded in recent years. Wood, natural fibres, cork or bamboo are organic materials that will give your home a unique personality, while generating less environmental impact. Opt for furniture with these materials, you won't regret it!
Curvy furniture is among the most desired furniture for homes this season. This rounded shaped furniture is as sophisticated as it is ergonomic, and has become a key piece in many spaces. Curvilinear sofas, for example, are one of the trends for the living room in 2022, as are the curvy armchairs for the bedrooms.
Trends rule, and although you don't have to follow them to the letter, it's always good to take a look at what we won't stop seeing this season. The favourite decoration styles for Autumn 2022 are minimalist and comfortable, characterised by clear and clean lines, with elements and materials capable of evoking nature.

She has redecorated her home from scratch all by herself, proving that it’s possible to do amazing renovations and room transformations on a budget. For her, versatile elements are key when it comes to decorating, since they allow her to play around with the feel of the room adapting its style to every season.
She spends her free time taking care of her home and planning her next makeover for the upcoming season.
I’m Charli, a single mother of 2 children and I work in a school.
I spend a lot of time at home outside of the school day, weekends and school holidays.
I spend most of my time in my kitchen, cleaning it or my bedroom, rearranging things and planning my next makeovers/seasonal decorations.
I designed and decorated my whole house myself, I did all the transformations myself to prove to people that you can have a lovely home on a shoestring budget.
The part I enjoyed the most was the kitchen, it is a completely transformed room and is by far my proudest achievement yet. My least favourite was the living room, as it had awful woodchip wallpaper, that was a nightmare to get rid of, but it paid off. And I now love the space.
I don’t think I have a particular style, I like a mixture of modern, and traditional/timeless decor. My home is decorated in a way that makes it versatile enough to mix things up for seasonal decor, and accessorise it to change the feel of the room.

]]>Goose down bedding is a type of high-quality bedding material. Goose down duvets and pillows are made from down from geese. Down material is fluffy material found on the underbelly of geese, which is what keeps them warm in cold climates. Therefore, making goose down bedding is one of the best choices when it comes to your winter bedding!
There are various types of goose down, such as Hungarian goose down, Siberian, Canadian and others. These specific types of goose down simply refer to where the goose down was sourced from. Hungarian goose down tends to be one of the most popular choices when it comes to down duvets and pillows. It is ethically-sourced, high in quality and provides great heat insulation during the winter months.
Goose down bedding has many qualities which make it the perfect choice for your winter bedding. It keeps you warm, it's super comfortable and it's also durable so it can be used in both summer and winter for many years to come. Below, we’ve got 5 reasons why goose down bedding is the perfect choice for winter.
Down material is the best insulator on the market. Goose down, in particular, is great for keeping you warm during those cold winter evenings. At night, you’ll be guaranteed a warm and comfortable night’s sleep due to the insulation qualities of goose down.
Unlike other duvet and pillow materials, such as feathers, goose down is the best insulator available for your winter bedding in the UK. This is because down provides geese warmth in harsh, cold climates - so, it is great if you’re looking for a warm and cosy bedding set for the winter months.
What’s more, goose down is also used in high-quality mountaineering clothing due to its great insulation properties.
If you’re looking for the most luxurious and comfortable winter bedding, then look no further than goose down. Goose down has a high fill power, which means it is the most warm yet lightweight bedding you can find. Fill power refers to the fluffiness of a down product. The higher the fill power, the better in quality and warmth.
If you opt for a goose down duvets and pillows, you’ll be guaranteed a warm, comfortable yet lightweight sleep. The high fill power of goose down means that more air can be trapped within the bedding, providing its maximum loft.
Especially with energy bills being expensive, opting for a goose down duvet will mean you can turn the heating down and save more money long-term. A win-win!
While goose down bedding is warm, and therefore perfect for those chilly winter nights, it is also lightweight. If you suffer from night sweats, or find you prefer to have a lighter feeling duvet, then a goose down one would also be great for you!
The reason goose down is breathable is because of its fill power. Not only does down material keep you warm, but it also regulates your body temperature accordingly. Goose down bedding also contours to the shape of your body, so you’ll find you’ll sleep better and more comfortably.
Another great thing about goose down bedding is that it is low-maintenance. This is particularly helpful during the winter months when the sun is out less, you’re more likely to stay in and want to wash your goose down bedding less frequently.
This is great for those winter nights where you want to simply come in from work, relax, and get cosy in bed. Goose down duvets and pillows are truly low-maintenance, and will keep their quality for many winters to come.
Choosing the right winter bedding can seem somewhat confusing and pointless. However, by choosing a high-quality set of duvet and pillows during the cold UK winter it will not only save you money in energy bills but it will also mean you won’t have to replace your bedding year after year.
Unlike other, cheaper bedding materials, such as synthetic duvets and pillows, goose down is truly durable. It’s not only high in quality, but it will also last you many years if taken care of properly. The bedding won’t lose its shape, you won’t suffer from any feathers poking you, nor will you have to add an extra winter blanket on top. Goose down is truly the best choice for your next winter bedding.
]]>The term ‘percale’ refers to a type of weave. The fabric is tightly-woven in a cross-cross pattern to create a firm, yet comfortable, and durable sheet. Percale bedding sheets are often described as crisp, soft and breathable.
Percale bedding is mostly made from cotton. However, the weave can also be made from other materials like polyester, other synthetic fabrics and even rayon from bamboo.
When shopping for percale bedding, there are some key features to look out for. These include the material of the percale, what the weave is made from, as well as the thread count.
While higher thread counts of percale cotton bedding will likely make the cost higher, it is worth investing in. They keep you cool, comfortable and last much longer than typical materials used for cheaper bedding sets.
Percale bedding that has a lower thread count and is made with short staple cotton will feel less luxurious and a lot denser when compared to more luxurious percale bedding. By opting for percale bedding with a higher thread count, and made from long cotton fibres, you’ll be guaranteed a smooth, yet crisp, bedding set.
One of the great things about percale bedding is how it feels. The feel of percale almost resembles a good-quality dinner shirt - hence, great for hot and cold nights, keeping your body temperature regulated while providing the utmost comfort and smooth touch.
Cotton is a type of material and is sourced from cotton plants. Cotton comes in a variety of types, such as Egyptian cotton or even pima cotton. Bedding can be made entirely from cotton, and is often a popular choice for its durability.
Percale, meanwhile, is a type of weave. Percale bedding can be made from several materials, such as cotton, and refers to the criss-cross pattern used for the sheet. Therefore, percale can be a type of cotton weave.
Percale bedding, especially cotton percale, is worth it for its various qualities. There are several benefits to investing in percale bedding, with one being its durability. Below, we’ve compiled a short list of reasons as to why percale bedding is considered a luxury bedding, and therefore, worth the money.
Though the price of percale is higher than other bedding materials, such as polyester, it is worth it long-term. It’s high-quality fabric and range of benefits means you will be left having a good night’s sleep, no matter the weather.
]]>If the average person sleeps 8 hours per day, that would mean we spend at least 229,961 hours sleeping in our beds in our lifetime. Considering how long we spend in our beds, it is therefore important to keep it clean.
General research suggests people should wash their sheets at least once per week; this includes duvet covers, pillow cases and under sheets. Duvets and pillows, meanwhile, can be washed more irregularly. Pillows, for example, should be washed every 4 to 6 months (if they’re washable), while duvets are recommended to be cleaned at least twice a year.
However, if you sleep with your pets, perhaps eat in bed or have allergies then you should probably be washing your sheets at least every 3 to 4 days. Similarly, if you exercise regularly or perhaps suffer from night sweats then it is advised you wash your bed sheets in a similar timeframe. This would also apply during the spring and summer months when it is hotter, and people either sweat more or suffer from seasonal allergies.
Before washing your bed sheets, you should check the label and see what the recommended temperature settings are for washing. Generally speaking, most duvet and pillow covers should be washed at at least 60°C.
While washing bedding at a temperature below 60°C will get rid of dirt, it won’t kill any pathogens. Therefore, it is important to check the product label and wash the sheets at the highest possible setting. Cotton, typically, can handle hotter settings while materials like polyester cannot.
There’s no need to visit a laundry service to wash your bed sheets. Simply separate them by colour (like you would with clothes), pop them into the washing machine and wash at 60°C. You’ll only need to add washing detergent, as fabric softeners can result in bedding becoming less breathable.
If you have any stains on your bedding, then it is key to pre-treat these before washing. Either use an oxygen cleaner or stain remover; using a small brush may even help get the stain out by softly brushing.
When it comes to drying your bedding you can either opt for a dryer or a clothes rack or line. If you don’t have access to an outdoor space or garden in your home, then you could either dry your bedding on a low temperature in the dryer (as hotter temperatures will wear away the fabric) or by placing them on a clothes rack.
However, drying your sheets outside is always a great option on a sunny day. The sun is both a natural disinfectant and brightener, so will leave your bed sheets extremely fresh!
When washing your bedding you shouldn’t overload the washing machine, as doing so will mean your bedding won’t get as clean as there’ll be less water to circulate in. It is advised, furthermore, advised that you don’t wash your bedding with any clothing. Zips, buttons and other materials can cause piling on your bed sheets over time.
Another reason why you shouldn't wash your bed sheets with your clothes is because they’ll often end up trapped inside the sheets. Consequently, meaning your clothes aren’t washed properly either! If you can, wash your towels, bed sheets and clothes separately to ensure they last longer, and are cleaner for you.
While washing bedding, and putting it back onto the bed, might seem like a boring or excessive chore, it is actually really important for your health. When bedding is left unwashed, it begins to build up:
The presence of dust mites, while it might not bother some, can lead to allergy symptoms such as rashes and skin irritation. Without washing your bedding regularly, these will build up and could result in thousands living in your bedding without you knowing!
Not washing your bedding can also lead to other health or skin problems, such as:
Therefore, it is important to wash your bed sheets regularly. If you can, also avoid letting pets into your bed, shower before you sleep, remove any makeup and try not to eat or drink in bed. This way, you’ll ensure your bedding is kept fresher for longer!

There are a few steps we should include in our morning routine in order to start the day on the right foot packed with energy.
The first aspect that needs to be considered is the environment we wake up in. It’s important to open the curtains or pull up the blinds, since natural light is great for the body and it will give you a slow and gentle awakening that will gradually activate the brain.
The typical “5 more minutes” is not a good idea. By doing so you are telling your brain to go back to sleep and that will work against your ability to wake up. Moreover, you will wake up in a worse mood and more tired.
Dehydration can make it difficult for our body to start up in the morning, especially considering that during the night our body has been fasting for a few hours and without water. For this reason, It’s recommended to drink a glass or two of water as soon as we wake up. This small habit helps activate the organism and eliminate toxins without any effort.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day for your body. A full breakfast helps to achieve optimal nutritional intake by providing the energy your body needs to last the whole day. Ideally, your breakfast should contain fibre, carbohydrates, and protein. A good breakfast is key to being more active in the morning. Don't skip it!
Moderate exercise is essential for the body and mind and doing it early in the morning will multiply your activation for the day. Whether it’s going for an hour run or doing a couple of minutes of stretching, moving your body will help you boost your energy and stay activated.
All of these tips are perfect for increasing activity quickly and effectively, but also more generally to keep your mind active and healthy. So don't forget to eat a balanced diet, sleep well and find ways to reduce stress.
]]>If you’re considering purchasing Hungarian goose down products as they’re high quality, yet are unsure about how they are sourced, then read our guide below which explains everything you need to know about Hungarian goose down sourcing.
Goose Down is known for its high-quality, durability and luxury. However, some people may worry about it being cruel or unethical. However, this does not apply to Hungarian goose down. As part of the European Union, Hungary has to adhere to strict rules about the human treatment of animals, and has done so for a number of decades.
In Hungary, there are no farms that raise goose purely for the purpose of sourcing goose down and they never pluck, trim or skin live geese in order to obtain goose down. There are only two ways to obtain Hungarian goose down: the meat industry and natural moulting.
Hungarian goose down can be collected from the meat industry as a byproduct of the geese which are input for meat. They can also collect any feathers which are naturally shed by geese as they age and then use these for commercial purposes.
All down products in Hungary have to follow the human treatment guidelines. This is also better for customers who want to have high-quality down products without animal animals having been harmed in the process.
Although Hungarian Goose Down is the most luxurious and high-quality down duvet available on the market, it is expensive and not within everyone’s budget. There are, nevertheless, down alternatives - such as other types of bird down.
For instance, duck down is a far cheaper alternative to goose down. Some companies, however, mislead customers into buying ‘goose’ down products which are actually made from duck down. Duck down, when sourced through a trustworthy company, is not as good quality as goose down but is still more comfortable than other duvet materials, such as ones made from synthetics, wool, feathers and more.
Hungarian goose down, for example, is known to be lighter, softer and puffier than other bird’s down. Thus, it is more comfortable and of a higher quality. When shopping for down products, make sure you read the small print and if it is within your budget why not opt for goose down?
One of the reasons why Hungarian goose down is known as the best type of down is that the down clusters are larger and thus more fluffy and warm. Because the down clusters are bigger, fewer of them are needed to fill a duvet - the air particles left in between the clusters mean that the duvet or other product will have greater insulating properties. This is referred to as “fill power” so the fewer the number of down clusters required, the greater the fill power.
Aside from being one of the most ethical types of goose down on the market, Hungarian goose down in particular is one of the most luxurious products in the world. Yet, it is still totally affordable.
Hungarian goose down is sourced from geese in the colder climates of Hungary and, as a general rule, the colder the climate, the longer and thicker the goose down. That means that these down clusters are some of the highest quality in the world.
As a point of comparison, many other types of down come from countries in which geese are bred in tropical countries; subsequently, the clusters are shorter and stubbier and often of a lower quality.
Hungarian goose down has all of the qualities you need for the best night’s sleep. It is durable, meaning worth investing in, comfortable, luxurious and also easy to maintain. Because Hungarian goose down is durable, it means it will last you much longer than other duvets. It is also easy to wash, so great as an everyday duvet!
]]>Goose down duvets are more durable than other duvets available on the market, and are a great investment if you’re looking for a good-quality duvet. They will also last you longer if you take good care of it! Find out more about how long you can keep a goose down duvet below.
It is recommended by the Sleep Council that you should change your duvet approximately every five years. However, this will depend on various factors such as the material of your duvet, its quality, and how carefully you look after it.
One of the most important factors to a durable duvet is its material.
Goose down duvets are known to be some of the highest quality duvets around and are said to withstand the test of time. Good quality goose down duvets should last at least the recommended five years, if not more.
As one of the better materials, goose down duvets often last far longer than other duvet fillings including synthetic duvets and feather duvets. If you look after it well, it could last for even longer. Well-made goose down comforters that are well looked after could last at least 10 years, if not longer.

There are many different ways you can protect your goose down duvet and extend its lifespan. Read our top tips below to make your down duvet last even longer!
Protecting your duvet with a cover can make a big impact in the durability of your duvet. Experts recommend using a cotton duvet which is breathable.
Do Not Over Wash Your Duvet
It can be tempting to wash your duvet regularly but there is such a thing as over washing it. You should only wash your duvet every 6 to 12 months. Down duvets, however, are great as they can be washed at home.
Lying on top of your down comforter is one of the worst things you can do as the weight of your body will crush the down clusters and wear them down much faster. Try and avoid laying on top of it where possible to keep your down duvet for longer!
If you put your duvet into the duvet cover at a bad angle, it will leave your duvet cover with an extra amount of unfilled fabric. Be sure to put it in properly, and have comfortable night's sleeps for a long time.
Rotating your duvet means that it will wear evenly. It also makes it easier to know when you need to replace it. This is a simple and easy step to do - so why not do it every few months?
Do you have a goose down duvet and want to know if it is worth keeping or not? Read our short list of things to look out for with your goose down duvet, and whether or not it might be a sign to get a new one.
Over time, the down clusters in the duvet will start to wear. This usually happens first in the upper third portion, the area on top of your shoulders as this is the bit that is most affected by tossing and turning in your sleep.
Wear on duvets due to this is natural, so don't be worried. You can follow some simple steps above to ensure your down duvet lasts longer!
Are you finding your down duvet is flatter than usual and it won't plump up? If this is the case, the filling has collapsed and has lost its springiness. Once this happens, you cannot create plumpness in the duvet and it will feel flat and deflated.
If your duvet is feeling less warm and fluffy, it might be that the filling has started to wear out and is losing its natural abilities to trap air.
Duvets should be washed every few months and you should always follow the specific washing instructions. However, if your duvet starts to become compressed or lumpy after washing, it is possible that it is time to invest in a brand new duvet.
If the duvet’s filling is starting to leak due to thin casing or seam splits, it might be a sign to upgrade to a new one. It is natural, and unfortunately inevitable, that duvets will begin to fall apart. But, choosing a down duvet will mean it will last longer.

]]>Tash, a home lover, has shared with us how she spends her time at home, the essential parts of her morning routine and how she disconnects after a long day.
Make myself a coffee and have a drink of water
Working shifts make morning routines tricky for me, there’s a few things I won’t leave the house without doing though: morning coffee, skin care, making the bed, morning cuddles with the dogs.
I have a cheeky lie in on a Saturday and Sunday if I am not working but only till about 8am. That way I feel like I’ve made the most of my weekend.
My perfect day at home would be waking up to fresh coffee, taking the dogs for a nice stroll, coming home and baking some goodies, a lovely hot bubble bath, face mask, fresh pyjamas and fresh bedding and a good film.
I love being at home, my favourite wind down space is the living room. It’s a calm and cosy space where I feel at peace. I like to have a bit of quiet time to myself, I like to have a good scroll through Instagram and love looking at everybody's gorgeous homes.
To end my day, I like to have a little home reset, I will straighten up the house so that my mornings are stress free. I have a bath or shower to wash the day away. Before I go to sleep I like to think of 3 positive things about anything. They can be positives from the day, positives about tomorrow, or just anything positive really.
As Tash mentions, it’s clearly the simple things in life that give us that sense of peace and comfortness. Cuddling up with a pet, cooking some baked goods or taking a hot bubble bath. Little things that we take for granted most days, and we should really stop and take a moment to admire.

]]>Read our top 10 list of the best pillows you can invest in for sleeping below. Without a doubt, there’ll be one for you according to your personal needs & well within a good budget!
Without a doubt, goose down pillows are the best pillows for sleeping. Luxurious, soft and extremely comfortable - you’ll never have a bad night’s sleep again if you invest in a set of goose down pillows. Although goose down pillows are generally more expensive than other types of pillows, they are worth the price in the long-run as they’re durable, washable and sustainably-sourced.
Goose down pillows are made from down, a soft fibre found in the under layer of geese. Down material keeps geese both warm and cool, as the fibres are there for body temperature control. Therefore, a great pillow choice that can be used in both summer and winter. What’s more, they’re also hypoallergenic!
Not only are goose down pillows comfortable, but the down material inside of the pillow will contour to your head and neck’s shape. Therefore, great for all styles of sleepers: side, back or even front sleepers! They’re also one of the best pillows for neck pain due to this.
Goose down pillows also have a variety of types: such as Hungarian Goose Down, Siberian Goose Down and even Canadian Goose Down. All of which are extremely comfortable and the most premium down material available on the market and here at Cuddledown.
If you’re on a smaller budget, yet still want to invest in some of the most premium pillows available in the UK, you could consider buying a set of duck down pillows. Duck down, similarly to goose down, is made of down material. Instead of geese, the down material fibres are collected from ducks!
Duck down pillows are a great choice to consider if you’d like to experience the utmost comfort, while having a lightweight and easy-to-wash pillow. Both duck and goose down pillows are machine washable - so great if you or your little one’s ever accidentally spill a drink, or are someone who gets particularly hot and sweaty during the night.
Both duck and goose down pillows also have longer life spans than other synthetic materials offered online and in-stores. Why not do yourself a favour and invest in a duck down pillow? It will certainly be worth it!
Though duck and goose down pillows are naturally hypoallergenic, you may be one of the few people to be allergic to down. If you would like to experience the same comfort down pillows offer, yet are on a smaller budget, then you could buy a set of down alternative pillows.
Made from mostly polyester material, down alternative pillows are created to mimic down material - the most comfortable and luxurious pillows you could ever invest in. While the warmth and insulation of a down alternative pillow could never compete with a real down pillow, it is as lightweight as the real deal. Great for those that want a comfortable, well-rested night’s sleep each night.
If you have health problems, such as chronic neck pain or perhaps acid reflux, then investing in a memory foam pillow might be a good idea. Memory foam pillows, made from polyurethane, come in all shapes and sizes and have ones specially made to support those that experience a bad night’s sleep.
Just like a memory foam mattress, a memory foam pillow contours to the shape of your head and neck - which can provide great support for the neck and spine. However, if you’re a front sleeper these types of pillows may not be right for you as they tend to be firmer than other pillows.
Feather pillows, in contrast to down pillows, are made up from the feathers on the top layer of geese and ducks. They’re considerably cheaper than down pillows, yet they are less durable and require continuous fluffing to keep their shape.
Nevertheless, feather pillows are still a luxurious pillow to consider - and one of the best if you’d like that fluffy, warm feeling while you sleep! These types of pillows are great for winter, as the insulation of the feathers in the pillow keeps you warm. However, this is something to keep in mind for those hot summer months - or, if you’re someone that particularly experiences hot sweats during sleep.
Microfibre pillows are made from polyester and nylon, and are designed to have a breathable quality. Comfortable, inexpensive and widely available on the market. These types of pillows are some of the most popular pillows in the Uk due to these qualities.
Though microfibre pillows are made from synthetic material and may feel less high-quality, they are designed to still give you the best sleep. They are not too firm, meaning they support your neck while you sleep but still provide that cuddly feeling most people want in a bed pillow.
Generally, pillows are not made from cotton but the outer pillow case is. Cotton, however, does make for a great pillow material. Similarly to down material, cotton is naturally hypoallergenic so great for those summer night’s where allergies and hay fever are on the rise.
They’re generally breathable, however do not have a very long life span. As time progresses, sweat can build up in the pillow and cause it to harden. However, if you’re looking for a pillow which can provide you enough comfort, at an inexpensive price then cotton pillows are the way to go. You could even consider spending that little bit more and opting for organic cotton pillows!
As most people will know, wool (just as it does for sheep) is a natural insulator. Therefore, wool pillows are great for sleeping in both hot and cold climates as they will regulate your body temperature. Wool pillows, as the name gives away, are filled with the wool sheared off of sheep. Warm, cosy and also inexpensive!
Wool pillows, on the other hand, cannot be washed in a machine. Their material means they can be dry cleaned only, which may be a setback for those that sweat more during their sleep. Furthermore, wool pillows retain smells more over time, so keeping this clean is a must if you’d like them to last long-term.
On our top 10 list is also water pillows! These types of pillows, as this name also gives away, are filled with water. Hypoallergenic, comfortable and also durable. These are some of the most sustainable pillows available too if using ethically-sourced pillows is at the top of your checklist.
Water pillows, furthermore, are great for everyone as they are supportive and will contour to any shape or weight unlike most other pillows which flatten over time. You can also add and remove water based on your own comfort level. Yet, if a water pillow breaks then it may leak and potentially damage the rest of your bed. So, if you have pets or children this is something to keep in mind before purchasing.
Last, but not least, is a body pillow! These can be considered less conventional pillows - as they’re usually rather large and commonly used by pregnant people. Body pillows, however, could be the answer to your sleep troubles!
Body pillows are usually made from conventional synthetic materials, and are therefore generally quite breathable, easy to clean and comfortable. They are particularly good for those that need some extra support, such as pregnant women or those with body pains, conditions or recurring injuries.
However, keep in mind that body pillows usually have larger pillow cases - so it may be harder to find and update your current pillowcases! They are also larger than usual pillows and mostly suitable for side sleeping, so keep in mind who you’re possibly sharing your bed with.

]]>In this blog article we have compiled the most common errors to avoid when it comes to decorating your bedroom.
One of the most repeated errors that is seen in bedroom decor and design is buying furniture without taking into account the corresponding measurements of the space.
It’s a fatal error, since you end up wasting a lot of space and losing functionality.
In order to avoid this mistake, you should measure every space of the room in order to see its true potential before deciding on any furniture.
You can decorate your bedroom with furniture that’s in fashion, but this doesn't mean it will always be comfortable. It’s important to remember that out of all the rooms in your home, your bedroom should be the most cosy and pleasant. Therefore, try to avoid buying trending objects just because, and have a think about their true functionality.
Bad lighting is one of the main mistakes that many make, whether it’s very strong or too dim. Good lighting can provide you with a much cleaner and more harmonious environment, in addition to generating a perception of spaciousness in the room.
Besides the main light, include some lamps on the bedside tables (either to read or to watch your favourite series) that work as a more direct, but discreet focus. This way you won't disturb the rest of the sleepers.
The last aspect with which you have to be very careful is the abuse of decorative objects. We all like to have personal objects, photos of our family or even accessories that combine with the furniture, but be careful: quantity does matter. If you are looking to create a stylish, cosy and functional space to unwind, the best option is to choose elements that match the style of the room, but without overdoing it. This way, the room will seem more spacious and clean.
Avoid turning your bed into an onion with lots of covers, blankets and bedspreads, or filling every corner of the room with cushions and decorative rugs. Choose your elements with taste and caution and in this way you will rest better.
Now that you know the main bedroom design blunders to avoid when decorating, it’s time to put them into practice.

Victoria shares with us how she loves spending time at home with her family. As well as enjoying some “me time” every now and then by soaking in a bubble bath and reading a couple of pages of her favourite book.
When I walk in through the front door of my home I instantly feel at ease, my home has always been my safe space.
The items that make me feel at ease are my dressing gown, my blankets, my duvet and lots of bubble baths! I am definitely a ‘comfort over anything’ kind of person.
Taking a moment for myself would be lying in a hot bubble bath with the window open, bonus if it is raining outside!
Recently I have found reading a good way to wind down, I am very into manifesting and positive energy so I will surround myself with books on these topics. I also find music a great stress relief.
Three things I always do before climbing into bed: 1) Complete my skincare routine 2) Set my alarm and make sure I have no screen time, therefore I will read a few pages of a book 3) Kiss my daughter goodnight
It’s Sunday morning and I have just woken from a glorious lie in! Who am I kidding? I’m a mum! But my ideal Sunday morning would be to have a hot coffee under the duvet in peace.
Spending time at home gives us the opportunity to relax in our own personal space and recharge, so that we can go back out into the world feeling refreshed.
Wouldn't you love to have some time to yourself at home every day? We should all do as Victoria, and make time at the end of the day to sink into a good book, chat with our family or even listen to a couple of good tunes before getting into bed.

]]>It’s not just about changing the paint on the walls, it is also about choosing and combining the proportions of the furniture and selecting the shapes that are most suitable for each element in the room.
Follow these simple tips and you will see how your room grows in metres and in style.
Say yes to white. Contrary to dark colours that take away potential of your bedroom, neutrals give a room more depth, and are therefore ideal colours when it comes to decorating a small space. White walls reflect light, making your bedroom look much larger than it is, giving a sense of freedom.
A small, well-lit bedroom will immediately seem larger, provided you have the right lamps. The ceiling lamp, for example, will spread the light harmoniously throughout the room much better than a halogen directed towards the ceiling, which will only narrow it down, reducing the feeling of space. The ideal is to choose two identical wall or ceiling lamps, placed on both sides of the bed. Another good idea is to install a mirror, which reflects natural light and, by optical illusion, enlarges the room.
Within the confines of a small bedroom, the size of the bed becomes crucial as does the accompanying furniture or bedside tables. Don't try and squeeze these in, minimise…that’s the key. Do you really need a King Size bed or does a Queen fit snugly in the room? Along with the bed, the rest of the furniture should also be purposeful without being intrusive. Pieces that are too big will not only prevent you from moving easily, but they will also appear disproportionate.
The position of the bed is very important. Placing it at the end of the room, for example, frees up space or placing it near the window will make the room seem less cramped, giving you the opportunity to enjoy the views and expand the metres out. Another good idea is to lower the mattress to the ground (tatami mats are an alternative), so that it increases the height and therefore gives the impression of having a larger room.
Every free space in your bedroom is important. Keep in mind that when we have a small bedroom we should not waste any millimetre. Therefore, if you have a space under the bed, it is time to take advantage of it. You can put the suitcases full of clothes from another season, the shoes that you are going to wear the next day, or whatever you think will help you keep order.
You can have an amazing bedroom, even if it's small. The metres might be scarce, but never the style.

Down material, just as it does for ducks, helps regulate heat and humidity extremely well. Down, therefore, is the most breathable type of duvet material and perfect for those hot summer nights. Duck down, in comparison to goose down, is cheaper and therefore a more viable option if you would prefer to spend less. While it won’t last as long, duck down duvets are almost as good quality as goose down duvets. They have great fill power - meaning, the higher the fill power, the higher the quality as it’ll make the duvet lighter and more insulating. Therefore, making duck down duvets affordable, lightweight and comfortable and a perfect option for your summer bedding.

Traditionally, wool duvets offer a more quilted style than goose down or synthetic duvets. However, wool duvets are still soft and can provide you a comfortable night’s sleep. If you find yourself getting hot at night, wool’s natural properties can help regulate your body temperature. Wool, furthermore, has hypoallergenic qualities making wool duvets a great option for summer when allergies are more prevalent.
Cotton duvets are one of the most popular duvets, as they are cheap and can be found in almost any store. Cotton duvets are great for warmer climates, as they are made with a pad of cotton sewn into the outer case, so they are flatter and help absorb body moisture. Cotton, however, is less durable and lightweight than other options like goose down duvets and so the comfort quality will not be as high.
Similarly to cotton duvets, linen duvets are flatter and wick away moisture while you sleep. Linen, however, is often more expensive than cotton duvets due to the manufacturing process taking longer. Yet, linen generally is a good option if you suffer from night sweats during the hot and humid summer seasons. While they are heavier in weight than cotton duvets, linen material is more breathable. Choosing the right type of linen duvet is important, as not all linen duvets are good quality, so be sure to check before buying.
]]>However, down products are predominantly made out of two different types of down, Duck down and Goose down. The difference between the two types can become confusing with some people preferring duck down and others goose down.
Cuddledown offers a range of luxurious and affordable goose down bedding such as pillows and duvets so that you can invest in bedding that will last longer and keep you comfortable throughout the year.
Down is a very different material to other alternatives such as feathers. This is because it is sourced from the underbelly of the animal, which can also be called the plumage of the animal.
It is soft and light and it allows the birds to stay warm during the cold winter months. Duck and goose down are the most popular types of down material because they have a high fill power meaning you need less material to fill a pillow or duvet.
Bigger clusters, such as those that exist in goose and duck down allow the bedding to feel airy and light as well as keeping you well insulated and warm. It is this perfect mix that makes down material so sought-after and comfortable.
However, what is the difference between the down from a duck and the down from a goose. In fact there are plenty of differences between the two which this guide will go into now.

The first difference is in fill power, ducks are usually much smaller animals than geese and therefore the size of the down is much smaller.
Fill power is determined by the size of the cluster and this means that ducks have much smaller clusters, this leads to duck down more often than not having a lower fill power than goose down. The fill power of goose down ranges from around 600 - 900 whereas because of the size of ducks, the fill power of duck down ranges from 300 - 700.
Although still good and comfortable and much better than feathers, duck down is not as light and fluffy as goose down.
This fill power affects the warmth of the down, the higher the fill power the more insulated and therefore warm the material is.
Therefore, by rule goose down is warmer than duck down on almost all occasions. The only time when duck down might be warmer is when you are filling it with more clusters than you are of goose down.
For example, bedding filled with two clusters of duck down at 500 fill power compared to one goose down cluster of 800 fill power.
One of the biggest differences between the two types of down is that duck down is much cheaper than goose down.
It is easier to ethically source and is more widely available. This means that goose down is much more luxurious than duck down but this does unfortunately make it more expensive.
Search through Cuddledown’s range of luxurious goose down bedding and find the perfect bedding for your future comfort.

Over time, feather pillows tend to stick together and flatten out, making them uncomfortable; deforming the pillow permanently. This then leads to this type of pillow needing to be replaced quite often.
Goose down is made in the form of round clusters, when they come together they make fluffy and comfortable clusters for a much longer period of time. They do not lose their shape with time and therefore they last much longer than feather products for example.
Goose down is great if you want to invest in a pillow for the long term rather than a feather pillow which you would need to replace much more often.
A goose down pillow comes with a variety of features, most importantly it is soft and fluffy allowing you to stay cold in the summer and warm in the winter.
Goose down is a breathable material, this means that less down is required to fill up the pillows. There is a lot of room within the pillow clusters for air to circulate. This makes the pillow extremely soft and comfortable. Feather pillows do not come with the same advantages.
Fill power is the ratio of volume to weight, this means that the more fill power that a material has the less of it is required to provide the same volume of filling.
If you use a fill material with a high fill power then your pillows will be much lighter. For many Hungarian Goose Down is considered to be the best of all materials when it comes to fill power.
Feathers do not have a fill power making them a much less comfortable or soft option compared to goose down.
A characteristic of Goose down pillows that make them so great is that they are an all-weather product. Goose down products are great for all summers throughout the year.
They keep you warm during the cold winter nights and they allow you to feel cool whilst the sun is blaring in the summer.
This is because it wicks away any moisture on your body, meaning you do not have to change bedding when it gets colder or warmer!
Another reason why goose down pillows are so good is because you can choose from a variety of different types of goose down.
Cuddledown offers Hungarian, Canadian and Siberian Goose down pillows which all come with their own characteristics and prices. Hungarian goose down is known for being the most luxurious of the 3 types and is said to last the longest as well.
However all types of goose down provide you with a much better sleep than a feather or different material pillow!
Lastly, goose down is truly a premium quality product. Obtaining goose down from geese ethically is much harder than it is to obtain feathers from birds.
Moreover, goose down is best when it is taken from adult geese and therefore it is also a task to look after the geese until they get to an age where the goose down taken from them is the best it can be.
These factors mean that is is a premium and luxurious product and that is shown in the comfort difference between goose down and all other materials.
