The fluffy stuff

It's all about down

The most dreamy fill of them all - here’s a little intro to the goose down that goes into this duvet.

Renowned for its fluffy feel, impressive insulation and its lightweight durability, goose down is the ultimate fill. As a natural fibre, it’s wonderfully breathable too. Different to feathers, goose down are clusters of cloud-like fluffiness, and have no quills (so no surprise pokes through your duvet).

Getting into bed was a pleasure with the Edelweiss down duvet. Light, airy and weightless - warmed my chilly body and I felt like toast - love it!

Edelweiss 10.5 tog duvet

We went for 10.5 tog edelweiss based on some reviews but were very nervous that it might not be warm enough. We don’t heat our bedroom and want to be toasty under our duvet but have the ability for cool all around. Well since its arrival the outside temperature has been between -8C and +10C - all in a few weeks! And we are so so happy with our decision. Whatever the temperature it feels like a warm cloud on top of us - just the right temperature and so light. Absolutely delighted.

Featherlight cosy duvet

I bought my 13.5 tog Edelweiss 100% goose down duvet to replace a rather ancient goose feather & down duvet, which I was finding heavy and not warm enough as it had lost a lot of its loft. This new duvet is very light and pillowy, and beautifully warm in my unheated bedroom. It was expensive, but it is really luxurious, and I’m sleeping much better now. I highly recommend this duvet, and the excellent service provided by Cuddledown to get the duvet to me promptly and safely.

Light as a feather...

...which is ironic as it contains no feathers.

I'm quite a hot sleeper and my old winter duvet, which is 13.5 tog, was just too warm for me on all but the coldest of nights. It was also quite heavy.

My new Cuddledown hits the sweet spot at 10.5 tog and is therefore much lighter.

It's beautifully constructed and I'm sure it'll outlive me and become a family heirloom.

Warm & light.

Love our new goose down duvets, a replacement for very old feather & down ones. They are extremely light & fluffy & seem very warm , was very careful about our choice as rejected a Jlewis duvet previously. These fit the bill extremely well & will be looking at pillows too . Great purchases.

Lovely (but expensive)!

I bought an Eidelweiss 4.5 tog king duvet at a reduced price. It’s lovely, appropriate for many of our less-than-very-hot summers, but a bit warm for our recent heatwave. Even at a reduced cost, I had to think very hard about whether the cost would be worth the purchase, especially considering that other down duvets are almost as good, but now i’ve recovered after the financial pain, I’m
very pleased I took the plunge! It’s certainly quite lightweight, which is what I wanted, but I had to buy an especially lightweight duvet cover as mine are all cotton, and relatively heavy, negating the wish for a lightweight duvet. all-in-all, one happy customer.
